Well actually, NO YOU DON’T!

That’s because Mystery and Adventure Games (MAG) GUARANTEES that each time you play one of their free format role playing (FFRP) murder mysteries IT WILL BE DIFFERENT FROM EVERY OTHER TIME! 

How can that be the case? Well, it’s easy really because every MAG Murder Mystery is truly an FFRP event. FFRP means YOU are in control of what happens.

HOW YOU PLAY YOUR CHARACTER DIRECTLY INFLUENCES THE OUTCOME!

This is completely different to other murder mystery games or events, where the outcome is already scripted, pre-determined and you are merely an observer. Each MAG Murder Mystery offers a richer and more in-depth experience. It’s a totally immersive evening where YOU AND YOUR ACTIONS will help determine the outcome of the evening. Whether that’s escaping justice or bringing the murderer to book, or perhaps your role and objectives may be something else entirely. Whilst you know the plot, you know your character and you know it’s objectives and problems, you can never know until the end if you’ll be successful in achieving your goals. FFRP also means that all of the other players in the event are IN EXACTLY THE SAME BOAT! (but often up a different creek and, perhaps like you, not always with a paddle!). 

Each MAG Murder Mystery not only comes with full pen picture, background notes and specific character information and props along with a comprehensive set of referee notes to facilitate the event but also access to online guidance and example scenario issues and hints. The package also comes with ‘handy hints’ and prompts for the referee to assist in pacing the event to come to a conclusion within its allotted time (usually around 3 hours). Furthermore, each MAG Murder Mystery is FULLY SCALABLE, from an Entry Level Event (for 12 players), through the Intermediate Level (for up to 18 players) to the Expert Level (for up to 24 players). It also enables each MAG Murder Mystery event host / referee to add individual characters to an event (from 13 up to 24 players). 

Additionally, each mystery has artwork, guidance and examples on fancy dress and male / female splits of player numbers. This allows everyone to have a real opportunity to experience what it’s like to “in” the play as opposed to just watching it. Each MAG Murder Mystery even caters for characters to be “killed” during the event!
